Easter Island is changing.  Local entrepreneurs and international investors are developing a tourism industry that has become practically the only source of income for the community. Today they are in a state of anxious expectation preparing for the thousands of tourists, “eclipse chasers” and astronomers who will
arrive to witness the total solar eclipse, visible only from Easter Island on the 11th of July 2010.
